Was at the mall yesterday and saw one of these "political canvasser" types making his rounds. Well, he passed right by me and walked up to a black guy to ask for help in getting Bush out of office. So I thought nothing of it...until the guy went straight over to a mexican lady and said the same thing. After that he stopped another black man, and a few more black women. The whole scene took place in the middle of a crowd of people and the guy NEVER talked to a white person. I was pretty burnt about this display of "racial profiling" so I asked him what organization he was with. After I told him what I thought of his racial profiling he scurried away with a funny look in his eyes. (BUSTED) Apparently "America Coming Together" believes in bringing America closer by dividing us....somebody explain that to me.

You know Don, and I mean this in the nicest way, based upon your candidate and political views, combined with the bullshit you spew on this board, it seems to me that you wouldn't know a fabricated story if it dropped out of the sky, landed on your face, and started wiggling. :D

Not meaning to make huge sweeping general statement, this is pretty standard operating procedure for the left. Divide and conquer is their philosiphy, and you can't include whitey in that scheme... except for the guilty liberals. And you can't easily identify them unless they happen to be wearing a peace sign...

No suprise to me. Their trying to get people to vote that usually don't.
Specifically the minority vote. Because the minorities tend to lean left.
Or in Clintons case, bent left.

Yes, you caught me. I was hoping to derail the entire Democratic machine by slandering a single leftist canvasser. I figured if John Kerry can make up stories about being on a mission to Cambodia with Al Gore to invent the internet, why can't I take a little bit of license?
What's wrong, Don? Getting a little worrried and desperate? You should. Kerry's numbers were falling before the GOP convention and afterwards he will be in a freefall. Add the new SwiftVets ad showing just what a young Kerry thinks of his fellow servicemen, and it's going to be a long month for Senator Lurch! Now if we could just get Kerry's book "New Soldier" re-released it would be a slaughter. Don, why is the DNC fighting to prevent Kerry's book from being printed again? I thought he wanted to "spread his message"?

There was the perfect example of the Democratic Party's constituency last night on the T.V. You know, the America hating deadbeats and queers from the big city, showing their love while tearing the place up and attacking the police. :hammer2:
Here's an idea, anyone in America who is on some sort of assistance program from the State or Fed, will have their voting rights suspended until they are off welfare. That way elections would be won or lost by the "working" public. The "will of the people" who work, and not influenced by the high number of deadbeats in the big city States like N.Y. & Cali.

Good idea. If you want to decided the fate of the country, you have to contribute. But it wouldn't really effect the outcome, because people too lazy to work are also too lazy to vote. Why would they give up a day of 40's and blunts to go pull a lever? :D

Hey!
Why stop at just eliminating these people! People making less than 100k must not be contributing much, so why not eliminate them as well? Or, better yet, why not limit it to certifiable millionaires...they contribute even more , right? Or we could simply make it a dictatorship, as GWB suggested, because that would, in his words, make it much easier for him!

This stuff does not affect me HR, because I AM NOT PRO-KERRY!
It doesn't matter to me if you feel the need to spread lies and innuendo about a guy that the military structure chose to award medals to based on the writings of people who now remember things differently! I will vote to defeat Bush if I vote at all! Personally I think both candidates are poor choices, so I'll vote for the one that I feel will do the least damage until we can get some better choices. Or I may just stay at work on election day if I can convince one of you guys to do the same!

They are taught to avoid intelligent people, I think I would actually be happy they didn't come up to me with their bullshit, since I would tell them to stick it anyway. Plus, I believe we are already divided, those of us who want to earn what we get and those who feel like we owe them something.

I had the exact same thing happen earlier this year regarding Arnold and Gray Davis.... I was at Carlsbad Mall any asked the person gathering signatures why he wasn't asking for the caucasian signatures. He said he gets paid per signature, and he was going for the people he figured would mosy likely sign his form. He only approached minorities. I after speaking to the guy, as I walked away I told him he should join the border patrol since he was such a good racial profiler.

I think it should be based on your tax bracket, people paying no taxes get 1 vote, the next bracket 2 votes, and so on. So the more you pay in taxes the more weighted vote you would have. It may actually encourage some of these rich people with all of the tax shelters to pay more taxes. Of course it would have to be averaged over how much taxes you pay over four years.

Can I ask why we are in Iraq still? Did we not get rid of Saddam? For the first time in history, we pre-empted a war. When do we pull out? What do you tell those in the service why they are leaving there families behind? The people in the Middle East don't want us there, the don't like us, and, they would like nothing more than to hurt us. We should pack up and leave.

Uhhh, the job aint done yet. We pull out when the job is done. THe service men and women who are leaving their families behind are doing so of their own free will and their families understand that. THe middle east does want us there. You just won't hear that from the liberal media who doesn't want us there.

Don't kid yourself, this isn't a new first for the U.S. in any respect. We have gone into many nations with less provocation than we had in Iraq. If we leave before the job is done, we will have spent the money and lives in vain.

We are in Iraq and will stay in Iraq to secure one of the largest sources of oil and to get rid of one seriously dangerous a-hole that tortured his own people. The U.S. cannot continue economically with out a cheap source of energy. Which is oil and only oil. If we pulled out now that place would turn into a vacuum for bad people trying to run the place. They probably would be worse than Saddam. We tell the service men that we are securing the future for their families. Leaving would be the stupidest thing we could do.
IRAN is next.
