Not a frequent flyer on the boards but here goes. Looking at selling my 1997 nautique and going for an 2002 21IR Tige. Anyone have any experience with TIGE? Good quality? I just can;t seem to keep up with the price tag in the Nautique cult.
thanks for any input.

I have a 99 Tige 2100 which I believe is their entry level boat. It has the original TAPS system. Boat is OK, build quality, ie through bolting is not utilized, but maybe on the higher end/newer models it is. I may be selling mine, what will you be asking for the nautique?

I use mine to ski and I just bought a nibral 4 blade, so my report may be better once I get behind the new prop.

I would post the question on Wakeworld.com, but your here....
I think you are buying the name for the Nautique....I think the Tige is a good boat in comparison to the Nautique...and you get more for what you pay.
I looked at all three about a year ago...Nautique 226, Malibu WLSV, Tige 22V, and Mastercraft X Star....the Nautique and MC were smoking dope on pricing...
I found an 04 used loaded LSV for about 20K less that new 226 and X Star were going to cost not loaded...

as far as the Nautique I was thinkin 23k. I'll have to get some pics. 325 hours, 216 tower installed by dealer in 2001, pcm 4.0 gt. I have no complaints the thing runs every time. Just took it in for the annual tune up and got hot and bothered over the new models. I'ts the price tag that kills me. So that led me to other manufacturers.

I have the '03 (04 hull) 22iR.
Compaired to the others we tested it corners dead level, 180deg hairpins at 50 mph "like on tracks" as Chester Chetah said it.
Supurb smooth ride. + It planes below wakespeed
Nose rides much lower that other brands. Driver can remain seated while towing.
Look at a Mastercrap or Supreme (Launch) next time it passes in tow, the driver is standing on the seat to see over the bow. Turns flat, you can see oncoming boat traffic,, I dunno of any other wakeboard boat with this feature.
The Tige' is a much wider beam than the competition, out saloms them all, and has a new for '04 bottom on its hull, not a ski boat converted to a wakeboard boat with bold new graphics. It's a dedicated wakeboard boat.
Service is awsum,, you never read of people haveing fits with the Tige' dealer in the 909.
Tige's has the highest resale value of all, most are sold in house at the dealer.
Our Tige' dealer sold out last spring,, and is about to sell out again.
Most fun to drive boat of any we tested.
Get the Marine power 383 motor with the 13x12.5 ACME CNC billit prop.http://www.hotboatpics.com/pics/data/500/3812Parker_July__04_008-med.jpg

Their are now 2 tube dia sizes avail.
Get the thicker tube tower.
It works better.
I'd upgrade to it (wasnt available when I bought mine), but I'd rather put that cash toward a new Tige' in the future,
Pix are Parker Ariz. we'll be there most of this coming summer.
Hope to see you guyz.

where did you get the thicker tower? thats really the only complaint I have with this boat. how much? and who installed it?
we are usually just above the dam around Havasu Springs. Although we have done the am runs on teh strip and hit baddendochs(sp) for grub. And blue water casino runs.

FT mentions the Tige dealer in Corona. You won't find a better boat dealer to deal with. Chris runs an honest well organized shop, with top notch employees.
I bought a boat from them years ago, and it was the best boat buying experience I have ever had.

My neighbor has a 2004 22V and loves it. He and his boys wakeboard and say it is great. It handles rough water good too.

The Mission Bay Aquatic Center is current liquidating it's stock of 2004 Correct Craft 210 Super Air Nautiques and a 206 Air Nautique for a fraction of the retail price. These boats have been modified for salt water and are equipped with anti-corrosion, stainless steel fasteners and sea strainers. The boats were washed and flushed after each use, vacuumed every week, and given a monthly maintenance overhaul. You will not find a boat that has had more hours of preventive maintenance per hour of use!
210 Super Air Nautiques- $37,000 + trailer and tax
206 Air Nautique- $35,000 + trailer and tax

Another make you may want to consider is the Calabria. My buddy has one which I've skiied behind several times and it's a great boat, wake, room inside etc. He bought his used as a 2003 with 130 hours on it for $20K. It was a pretty smokin' deal as the guy just wanted to dump it. All in all, I would check these out too. Good luck with your search.
