The 21' Spectra in Pomona for $4500 obo with a powerglide less motor was a sweet deal for whoever got it. What a nice lookinG ride from the picture anyhow. I was going tomorrow if they still had it. Kudos to the lucky new owner. I would have made someone a hell of a deal on my turnkey 21' DiMarco if I would have been able to score the SPECTRA. I have a feeling SpectraBrent may have had swooped that thing up. http://images.traderonline.com/EMedia/tarchive2/213/163905/00213128809.jpg

I just gotta ask you, Why are you putting so much effort into the DiMarco if you don't really want it? All you talk about is selling it and getting something else.
The DiMarco sounds pretty nice. I guess I just don't understand. That's alot of work to just turn it around.
Anyway, Post a pic of that DiMarco. I don't know what it looks like.

Didn't Dimarco splash the spectra 20? I knew a guy that had a Dimarco daycruiser with a v-drive and you could not tell the difference from a spectra.

Yes,
DIMARCO did Splash the Spectra 20, but they did change the deck a little.

SuperDave, I like my DiMarco just fine, had it out last weekend for a nice day on the lake for the first real outing in it. I just could have bought the one above, sold mine at a giveaway deal, and had plenty of money leftover to finish the 3/4 of a real nice engine setup I have in the garage right now, that's all. I don't have the big bank you do Dave http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif, so I have to hustle and deal one project to the next to keep going forward if i am to keep stepping up. You are right, it was a lot of work, but I have more time than money now with a new baby and the wife's new shortened work schedule.

I'm taking off early tomorrow morn to make a 12 hour drive to buy a 21' Daytona. I'd be cryin if someone beat me there.

Who said that Tunnels can't have a V-Drive. Originally posted by Unchained:

Ok, I'll buy that. It would have to hurt to let all that labor go. But you don't get the chance to profit much from owing a boat so I see your thinking.
I don't know about all that bank you think I have though. Why do you think mine's taking so long. I do know all about more time than money though.

Costello,
I called on that Spectra late Thursday morning right after I got the boat trader and it was already gone. Hell of a deal........

OR, That ol' boy is probably scratching his head figuring he probably could have got a few more buck for it about now. Meanwhile, I'm convincing myself that it was beat to hell, and stress cracked to the 3rd power so I feel better!! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/tongue.gif

thanks S-brent....you got mail........
costello,
I think one of two things on that boat, like you said, he's either kickin' himself in the ass right now for selling it too cheap or somebody set him straight before the trader came out and he's not sellin' it til later.
I just can't believe it sold that fast, I mean I called the second the paper hit the stand and he says it's aready gone???
I guess I'm just pissed that I missed another one!!!!

OR ,there was a 24 footer for sale in seattle years ago on thursday.I phoned ahead before I went to see it,drove down saturday ,the boat didn't even make it to the dealer, some insider snached it up.I was pissed! Next time I saw the ad for my 24 in boattrader.com ,I phoned the owner to hold it no matter what, sight unseen.Other than cosmetics ,the boat only had 450 hours on the original datcom meter. The layup looks like just came from the factory, with not a single sign of lamination problem.16 degrees of deadrise [shallow for true offshore boats]cuts through the rough like any other 18-22 degree V's I've been on .24-26 degrees are overkill, and require a lot more HP to get on.Sorry for rambling about only one make, but it's my favorite
