Just wondering, is anyone planning on going to the Blue Water in July for the biennial V-drive Regatta? I plan on attending, and I have a 1967 18' Campbell flatbottom with a wood deck and 427.

This is the first I've heard about it, but I'm in if the V-drive is finished

It's being put on by Jokers Wild/Wilkes Marine.
Call 714-540-9110 for info.
Basically, here's the scoop:
$199 includes registration, passes for 2, one poker hand (more can be bought)dinner shirts, etc.

I'll wait for Setember v-drive social at Red Rock in Parker. Lots of nice people over 150 boats last year, and their is no charge. Free dinner and lots of prizes.

You mean no reg. fee at Red Rock just camping fee for 5 Days of FUN?

I'm going. Bringing a shovel nose and Hondo flatbottom. No kurtis, if the water was like the last 2 times it would be in pieces. Its on a Thursday or Wednesday this year just for that reason I was told. The first one in 99' was a load of fun, but I thought I was going to die in my flat on the poker run. I've never been to the Red Rock gathering but it sounds fun. Anyone been to both that can tell us the pros and cons of each?
