Got a 1995 232 with 454 Mag EFI. K&N Has the 320cc factory intake (Bad Choice by Merc.)
Turning a 21 pitch and 23 Pitch Mirage Hitting a miserable 57-59 by radar. I have heard exhaust will give you about 10 HP on a 454, Not worth $1800. Considering Vortec EFI Kit but not sure if it is worth anything. Also Seriously considering the Stern Jack.
The Rinker 236 hits 68 with 415HP and suposedly is the same hull?????
HELP!!!!!!

Im in the same boat as you well engine at least (99 20' wellcraft 7.4 mpi) I hit about the same mph Id like to hit 65-70 mph I think the only way is to get another set of heads or have the stock ones ported. all the bolt on stuff will only get you a couple extra mph if any. you really need to make 50 more horses not 10 or 15 to see a difference
