I've read a few post the last couple of days about boats cracking and almost sinking, I've been checking into Line-X and wondering has anyone sprayed their boat hull with Line-X. They say this stuff is bullet proof, seems like it would work good for boats. I'm thinking about doing the bottom 1/3 and inside of my boat with it. The local bedliner company claims they can spray it on smooth.
Also my boat doesn't have full length stringer like most and has a flat floor forward of the motor. Should I be concerned. Any pro or exspecially cons about this style boat hull. I'm getting reading to start sinking money into this thing, but it not too late to abort.
Here's some photos and thanks in advance.

My boat doesn't have full length stringers. Works ok for me. If you like the hull you could install full stringers. Makes em a lot stiffer. You could get lotsa advice on that here.

I would be a little concerned about how much weight that will add!

I would be a little concerned about how much weight that will add! I'd have to agree with XClutchboy on the weight thing. I considered using it on my boat's bilge but, I believe that stuff's pretty heavy. I used gelcoat on the engine compartment on mine and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If your hull is gonna break, it's gonna break, and nothing you put in the boat LINEX, gelcoat or whatever is gonna prevent that. If you just want an extremely durable, easy to clean finish, I'd recommend the gelcoat.
Oh yeah, it's way cheaper too. I paid $50 for all my materials.

DON'T USE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I WAS IN THE BUSINESS FOR AWHILE IN CANADA HERE AND THE STUFF WILL WEIGH YOU DOWN BIG TIME. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT COMPANY YOU GET IT FROM. IT WILL PROTECT IT EXCEPTIONALLY WELL BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP SO GOOD IT ISN'T EVEN WORTH IT.

If you plan on running on a river only, full length stringers should not be a big deal. I have an 18ft jet and take it out on Havasu a lot. If I did not have full length stringers my boat would be at the bottom of the lake.
You said you are going to dump a lot of money into the boat. I don't know what you mean by a lot but I would deffinatly consider getting a boat with full length stringers if you plan on keeping it forever. Just my .02.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the added weight of Line-X, sounds like thats the biggest concern. The boat will spend most of its life on a small lake (around 1000 acres), so the only real waves it'll encounter will be the wake from other boats. Installing a 400hp BBC so speed won't be a big issue either, figuring around 60-65mph.
Actually I don't plan on spending "a lot" of money on it, I only have about $200 in the hull/pump/trailer right now, most parts will come from my old boat, my labor will be the biggest investment. I'm sure I'll still 10 fold the original $200 though.
