View Full Version : boat gets really light at 90 mph

had my 19ft picklefork out to day I thought I was going to go over backwards my new motor runs good I coundnt open it up with just me in the boat it got to light. I took another guy with me we both 230lbs the boat still got light at 94mph I ran the placediverter down did not help could that be the ride plate making it so light????? craig

Air packing in the tunnel will cause your boat to lift and ride on top of the water verses cutting through it. It sounds like you have never been in a tunnel over 100mph. Be careful.

My buddies pickelfork would top out at about a hundred and ten and it was pretty much running dry,freaky feeling when you feel it start lifting,I pretty much had enough of it after one good run!!

try to drop your ride plate use a flat washer to set it
my 19 ft youngblood packs alot of air in the tunnel kinda makes your azz tight if your not used to it
be safe they lift quick tim
