a jetaway is a ratchet release for letting the pump spin free when the motor is locked up ,its for safety
a place diverter is for trim

Both the Diverter(be it Place or Aggressor) and the Jetovator are trim units that allow you to vary the nozzle angle.
There are 2 fundamental differences. First, the Jetovator has been out of production for years, so is only available used(worn out?). Second, the trim and steering elements are laid out in a different sequence. The diverter's steering section pivots at the bowl and the trim pivots off the end of that. The Jetovator's trim element pivots off the bowl and the steering pivots off the end. The diverter's layout allows for a simpler control setup at the pump.
Both are available with manual or power trim. Unfortunately, none of the parts for the Jetovator's electric cable control are available new. The Diverter's power trim is hydraulic with an electric pump. Uses a commonly available unit.
