I would ask if you drink out of control or not?
Not what you think, but what your best friend thinks though. (someone that'll tell the truth).
Beer or Boat eh? Well, let's say you give up the boat. You're still drinking and doing other fun stuff I imagine and she's probably still pissed and will want you to give up whatever activity you're doing that involves beer. Its gotta be the beer.
Good luck, I've never been married. ugh, makes me reconsider the thought now!

Hey Diggler,
It all had to do with me in the garage working on the new motor with some buddies and we ran out of beer. :(
So I made the mistake of asking her to get us some. :D
Latin woman + drunk buddies+ get me beer request = give up beer ......like I am gonna. And the boats stay too!!! :D

Did she say anything about giving up the wife, or just 2 choices?
Or do you really need AA?

I think the moral of the story is to have enough beer on hand so you dont have to ask her to get more. unless you dont care, then ask her "hey what do you tell a women with 2 black eyes, nothing shes already been told twice"

If you give up beer, will she let you buy some more boats ??? You can never have too many boats.

Let's look at the choices rationally and with a clear head, shall we?
1) Give up the beer: No more silvers on the weekends with the boys, no more nice buzz, no more refreshing coolness.
2) Give up the boat: as if.
I think we are missing the unspoken #3. F**K IT! To quote the great thinker of our era, Forrest Gump, "Beers and Boats go together like peas and car-rots." (maybe that wasn't the exact quote, but you get the point...)

Tell her that you will give up the beer if she gives up her friends and spends more time at the River.

If she is anything like my wife...tell her that you will give up beer when she gives up talking on the phone! eek! Boat or Beer? It would have to be beer....you can replace beer but you can never replace your boat. :D

Women don't respect a weak man.
She's just PO'ed at you for "disrespecting her" in front of your buddies, I reckon.
My program for you to keep your beverages, your boat, your self respect, and at the same time keep Mama happy and has 4 steps:
1) Say you're sorry you offended her.
2) Ask her to forgive you and put it all behind her
3) Explain that you could do better than her at the bus station
4) Cut her panties off with a Buck knife and jackhammer her donut like there's no tomorrow
You're welcome

I don't know about WET DAWG or anybody else's wife, but mine is 5' nuthin 110lbs and could whip a grizzly bear with a pencil when she's pissed. that said she's also pretty reasonable and would have gone to buy more beer as long as one of her projects had got some attn. IE I built a big patio cover and landscaped the back yard before boating season this year, I have about 3 more weekends before I have to get back on some serious home improvements. wink WetDawg it sounds like you got off pretty easy. The only thing I don't understand is why my wife doesn't consider my reepoxy painting the garage floor as a home improvement. :D

Chuck,
I got the same thing Epoxy on the Garage floor is NOT (In a womans mind) a home improvement. Even when I explained that it just makes it easier for her to clean up the oil & beer spills!
I was only looking out for her well being :D
Cant get a new wife....This one will kill me. And I belive her eek!
In general she has been a good sport, but this year wow...she went over the edge. Bought a new house and then spent the summer boating and didnt do any landscaping or concrete pouring
A mans Gotta do what a mans gotta do.
Damn I gonna get her a USED bayliner!

Good thing should understood. I don't think I would have been able to do it. Beer and boating go hand in hand.

Hey Wetdawg.
From experience, you only bought a little time on this one. Thats how mine started in '93. Then it came up again - new compromise. That went on at least once a year till we ended in the big D in '99. You give them something, soon they want more.
You know why divorce is so expensive? Because its worth it!!!!!!!!! :D

WETDAWG
10-04-2002, 11:25 AM
Hey Tee,
Youre right about it being worth it but the last one took all my nickles,my Suburban, half my business, my house,my pride and my son. It was like owning a uranium mine she got the uranium and I got the shaft. :D At least I kept my nads. :) I got one of those decals from www.roostwear.com (http://www.roostwear.com) (check out this site)
I think I got the beer thing setteled. As long as I dont get too crazy with the macho stuff she is gonna be OK. Besides, I own NOTHING now not even my boats (heheeheheehehehe) and she knows it!!
I am still getting her a F$#$ing used Bayliner!
