Do turbochargers count? I run a BBF with a Gale Banks system. For years I ran it on a stock short block [2 bolt main, cast crank, stock CJ/truck rods and TRW forged pistons] Never had any bearing/crank/rod problems....burnt a few pistons though. Spun the engine 67-6800 rpms with about 13-14 lbs of boost. Only thing I recommend for the stock short block set up is to stud the maincaps, shotpeen the rods and install ARP bolts. Forged pistons are a must and limit compresson ratio to 8.25 to 1 or less. I wouldn't recommend this set-up for long duration passes just short blasts to get your jollys. If you need something for long duration runs then step up and get the good parts, 4 bolt block, steel crank, a decent set of rods, lower compresson to under 8 to 1 and run an intercooler.

Piece of cake! All you are looking for is 100hp.....? Damn, and I thought this would be tough.
