We had some problems with a hyd unit after sitting all winter.
Got fluid-is the tank at the pump full?
On the SJ the nozzle was stuck unhook the cyl and make sure it is free
could be air in the lines loosen line at cyl ,hit switch and see if you get fluid.
check harness for corrosion at pump unit
does it move at all or only one direction?
I am not an expert I just had same type problems and hope this helps
Check the wires under the smoke colored cover. They are just butt spliced togather and they can fall apart. Mine did and it caused all sorts of trouble before I figured it out.
Also make sure your getting engough power to the pump. (after checking the wires unde the cover)
Good luck with it!

Double check that your battery is fully charged. The pump and solenoids got to have full battery voltage to work well.

Thank you for the help.
We checked the fluid and added a little, made sure the thing wasn't stuck. Put it back together and just started to push up and down on the button. It started to work, just not very quickly. We kept on pushing it up and down and it got quicker the more we did it.
Thanx a lot for the help.

Probably air in the lines that cleared up making it work better.
