I'm joining this thread a bit late, but you made the right decision. We have a 1986 23'6" Eliminator Tunnel with a rude 8 & picked it up for $11.5k a while back. I did snap a drive shaft & when it was taken apart it needed new gears, bearings, etc. another $1,500 in short. Our's runs right @ the 70 mark, it is a lot bigger & heavier than the 21', but there's no way that boat runs 120.

I had thought about it, but I don't think it would float triples. There is a local guy with a 34 Super Sport that is stepping up from twin V8's to triples. :)
