I saw this really clean carlson at Havasu last weekend, while at Eliminators regatta, tried to take a photo, missed, and then the guy parks next to me. The photo got cropped, sorry, but this was a really claen version of this unique boat.

I wish I could post pics here of my Carlson. :( It's the Reverse Three-point hull, not a Glastron. If you want pics, PM me with your emailaddy and I will shoot them to you. It's a very unique boat, well worth looking at.
-
Why cant you post them here?
-
Hey that looks like the T-top on a Buick GN I used to own. :D That's a very unique boat too, especially with the fisherman paint job. eek!
-
I've tried to post them here, but I just can't figure it out for some reason. How bout you post one for me? :)
-
Send them to me and I can post them. That thing sure was clean, should come to CBBBB wink
-
That is a Glastron Scimitar, used to be a blue one and a bronze one around this area years ago.
-
Catmando where should I put these?

Hey thanks JBR you da MAN! :) Maybe after I get the boat home I can take some pics and post 'em on the board. Everybody else is doin' it, so it can't be that hard.
Those pics are the only way I've seen the boat. I don't even know what the rest of the cockpit or the motor looks like. :( Next week I'll be in North Carolina helping the seller rerig it after the paint shop gets done with it.
Oh man it's so hard waiting, been three months since the deal went down.

Good luck on your road trip Cat. Are you planning on looking up Fred when your over that way?
-
Hey 1step I know you've seen the Classic Glastron site, aren't those old boats groovy? :D And I love Art's styling cues. :) He was NOT afraid to take chances, and the Glastron management pretty much approved most of his designs.
What do you think about his new Hallett designs, the 270 cat and the new 260ACL, which is essentially the same hull design as my boat?

Good luck on your road trip Cat. Are you planning on looking up Fred when your over that way? Yeah Keith I'll hook up with him, Sonnyspectre, Engreps and Tonto. At least I hope to see all those guys. I'm also going to the APBA race in Marathon next weekend.

I'm gonna have a twin axle aluminum trailer built for it. You don't need three axles under a 24' boat that weighs only 2300 lbs dry.
-
No Problem helping out. Have a safe trip, hopefully everything will go well.
-
BTW Rich, what the hell is CBBBB??
-
Classic Beach Boat Bash (CBBB) :D
-
Aaaahhh so glasshoppah, you have taught the Master a new term. wink :D

I've not seen that boat before. You must buy chrome polish by the case! eek!

That was a worry as we were restoring it. We thought it might be too bright out in the sun. We spent many, many hours getting the varnish/tarnish off and the shine back on.
-
That's the shortest bow I've ever seen! Looks like it's all cockpit and engine bay. The railing just intensifies the look. What year was it built, and what model?

Very Nice Blown 472....I would like to drop a motor like that in my ride, Mike. http://www.carlsonspeed.com/~CGOA/st...el_Strunk1.jpg

Can you guys please give some info on your boats-year and model, power and drive?
-
Mine is an '88 CV-23 with a 350/260hp merCruiser with an Alpha1. 55mph gps with a 14" 19P stainless factory merc prop. Check out the link.

Mine is a 1975 CV18SS. 455 and an E pump. It was "Jet Boat Of The Year" on Teshio's site a couple of years back.
I have spoken with Art Carlson a couple of times
and sent him pictures of it. He said he designed it to do 50-55. We get 62 on GPS.

I would like to hook up with some Glastron guys here in Dallas, but I don't see them on the lakes around here. Makes me think there aren't many of those old Classics in this area.
From the looks of that motor, you've got some serious HP in it. Too bad those hulls aren't very fast. frown

cat.if you get a hold of him e-mail me,i have some questions about the orogin of this boat threre are some conflicting stories about the year
