While thumbing through one of my Guinness Books tonight I noticed this........
"The fastest water-skiing speed recorded is 143.06 mph(230.26 km/h) by Christopher Massey(Australia) on the Hawkesbury River Windsor, NSW, Australia, on March 6 1983."
"Donna Patterson Brice set a women's record of 111.11 mph (178.8 km/h) at Long Beach, California, on Aug 21 1977."
It didn't say what the rules are or what boats were used, but that is a pretty damn impressive feat if you ask me. Who wants to try and beat it??

I'm pretty sure Tom Brown beat that record when he was in Kelowna last summer.
