Im getting ready to plumb my water lines and was wondering if I should use the T valve. Ive heard people say not to use them, should I use just a regular T? Also whats the best way to plumb everything. ex. Gate valves, where should they go and how many do i need?

May be a stupid question, but does the boat have headers.
if you have headers use the basset t valve. its a valve/spring loaded regulator. you`ll probably get water in your oil if you do`nt.
Nordic we highly recommend you use the "Basset" T or "Rewarder" T (as designed,spring,ball and seat untampered) But we install a stainless lever ball valve both before the basset 'T" as well as under the transom @ the overboard "dump" relief. This gives you total control over water flow plus the ability to deal with the "fouling" of the "t" valve (debris) if it occurs. Our pre "T" ball valve or water controller is usually mounted under the drivers seat where its easy to reach & deal with. If you need help or a print diagram give us a call or PM Good Luck ! Tom
Bassett "T" are fine but definately run through a ball valve for control of the water dont trust the bassett 100%
Check out the Banderlog valve. I have been using one for five years.
