They tend to work really well prior to having a swim at the river ;)

okay, here are some updated shots after machining it for a ride plate and a shoe. Next it's off to powder coating.

I'll post up pictures of the powder coating process this week as well ... as soon as that's done, it'll be time to set it shortly after.
Keep checking in for more progress ... it's coming together, slowly but surely.
Who do you use for powder coating?
Precision Powder Coatings in Santa Ana ... we are a pretty large account for them, I see their results daily, great work ... I'm going to have them do my pump & hardware as well
Sorry for the delay ... I received the intake back from Precision ... they did a great job ... here are the pictures of the intake done and ready for install:

So there you have it ... an intake makeover from start to finish ... I know it's the basics ... but gives some of you the idea of what is needed to install a shoe/ride plate into an intake ... and that just because it looks like junk ... doesn't mean without a little TLC that it can't look like new once again.

dude that is so bitchin! this is exactly what i wanna do to my intake...since im getting it taken off and machined for the plate/shoe, i might as well just have it coated again...thanx for the cool thread!
