Good call on the Rustoleum. When thinned and hardened is some excellent paint for the money. You can even roll it on with a foam roller and it self levels so well that the gloss is fantastic, even better if you color sand and buff. I have also sprayed House of Kolor clear over it with excellent results. Hot Rod actually did an article on painting cars with it last month. It's what I used to paint my whole trailer and I was pretty suprised how well it turned out.

did you mix the thinner and hardner all at once?

Not sure I understand you question. I use the 8-1-2 method. This means 8 parts paint, 1 part hardner, and 2 parts reducer. So the batches I made for my HVLP gun I mixed up 16 oz of paint and 2 oz hardner and 4 oz of reducer.

What brand reducer and hardeners are you using for the rustoleum? How quick can you re coat using the hardener? Thanks in advance...

I am using Nasson medium reducer and Nasson Hardner. It flashes pretty fast with the hardner.
