I didn't know Glastron ever made a 26' Carlson. Could you please show pictures?
I was told this on the phone by a second party, going to look and verify tomorrow.
They Built 26' Glastron Carlson jets (not Many) now that you've found it all you have to do is get it on Plane from a Standing Stop. Motor Screaming, nose aimed at the Moon, it was Painful to Watch.
I can imagine!
One of those might be the perfect candidate for the new Dual Jet Drive with a 638 inch Chevy.
I own a 1978 23' Carlson Daycruiser Model CV 23. It has a Big Block Ford and Berk JF. The standard jetovator has been replaced with a Place diverter. I purchased the boat for $3350 and knew at the time I picked it up that the engine was suspect. It actually ran pretty good, right around 55 mph at wot. If you woul like to find some better value information you may be able to go to classicglastron.com for some more info. I do not ever remember a 26' jet being produce by Glastron/Carlson. I am aware of a 27' model with twin 350's and merc stern drives. Good luck
At NADA guides http://www.nadaguides.com/ they only have info. for 1971 for G/C, but under Glastron for 1979 they list a 26' with single or twins but no mention of jets, they are not very accurate though, many boats are not on their list and the facts are wrong on many of them. I really like daycruisers so that sounds like a fun & useful boat, especially if you have kids, or like to attempt making some while boating.
shirkey,
here ya go............

theres also a link to Art Carlsons stuff further down the page.
Thanks Oldrigger, I hope to look at this boat tomorrow, been trying now for the last few days, but something always comes up. I was told 1500.00 would buy it. I just bought a 23' Wriedt jet day cruiser, or I would be real interested. I just want to see what it looks like.
We need PICS, son, PICS!!!! (PLEASE???) LOL Seriously, I'd LOVE to see some pics of this animal - please do us the honor? :)
Hoping to get there today, but it doesn't look good. A friend is on the way here to look at my new purchase, a 23' Wriedt daycruiser jet. Another friend just bought a Cheyanne tunnel drag boat (9sec.) yesterday that I want to go check out. But I will have pictures before the week is out.
I'd love to see pics of the Cheyenne too!

Blown Fear, who posts on here sometimes has a 25ft Hawaiian day cruiser with a berk JC and a 460 ford. It has no problems getting on plane with a hydraulic place.

Thanks for the help!

Yeah, I know it was Confusing to me at First Too.
Well I tracked this boat down, and what a surprise. Not only has this boat not been garage kept, it hasn't seen a garage in several years. Its been sitting in the woods for a long time. Also it is a 23'. The seats were out the floor is rotted the windshield has been busted and the rear deck is gone and the motor has a rod knocking, the trailer fenders are gons and one tire was shredded. But the pump looked decent.
Also there was a 16' sitting next to it.

Hey, looks like a Set-Back Pump ?
other than that maybe the Owner will pay you to Tow it Away.
Naw, I'm pretty sure these boats used a JE/JF insert type pump - man, what a shame, those are SUCH beautiful boats.....wouldn't mind seeing the 16'er you saw - get any pics of it?
I took more pictures of both boats, but for some reason my digital did not record them. the front of the 16' can be seen in one of the pictures. The brown seats in the blue boat came out of the 16'r. If I'm back out that way, I will try and get some pictures,
