I have been using the Banderlog valve for over five yers. Absolutely no problems. There are a couple of other features not mentioned. It can be set up to turn on at 1500 rpm or if the cam warrants...
When I did my bottom, I sprayed the primer a little dry on the wetted area. It came out dimpled. I didn't finish sand that area. Then sprayed the color. I figured it would last longer than speed...
I tend to agree with the idea of a boat in the water, just in case!!!!!!!!!!!!
