About 4 months ago I got a call from a guy asking if I knew anyone looking for a what he thought was a Biesemeyer. He said it was only a bare hull, with maybe the strut and no other hardware, but, it had been reflowcoated with all the holes plugged in the stringers, along with a new kickboard. Told him I'd like to take a look at it and if he could get me the number. Set an appointment to go see the thing and here's what we found...http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...7bmyr4-med.JPG http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...7bmyr3-med.JPG http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...7bmyr2-med.JPG http://www.***boat.com/image_center/...7bmyr5-med.JPG
Turns out, everything he said about the boat was true. After coming to an agreement on the price, which was VERY fair, we agreed to come back and pick it up the following day. I mean the thing didn't even have a trailer!! What could it possibly be worth!
Our plan is to work on this in between projects with a target launch date around the end of April 2005. Anybody know of any events going on around that time?(BIG GRIN). We'll set her up K Boat style, with one of our Blown Alcohol motors that ran our Canyon into the low 8's around 130mph, that ought to be quick enough to have some fun!!! I'll keep you guys up to date on where I'm at from time to time with pictures and comments, and Mr B, save a little time for me around January to squirt a little Kolor on this thing!
