Penetrating oil (I know, give it a try). Also Acetic Acid (Vinegar) , it takes off that real bad hazy film if the penetrating oil does not do it. Good Luck...Joe

My brother in law is a truck driver and he brought me the secret truck driver solution for keeping all their metal on their rigs super shiny. It's gasoline and white polishing rouge. He brought me some in a plastic coke bottle and it works great on the diamond plate on my fenders, my aluminum wheels, the nickel plated shocks on my truck......anything shiny. I haven't found anything that works better yet....just don't have a smoke while you're using it

Not good for diamond plate. Tough to get all the polish out of the creases.

they have some stuff - i'm trying to clean the same thing right now ....... I think it was called trailer brite ?? spray on wash off - crap -- i'm going to try the eagle one spray on rim crap that is for clear coat wheels - the mag cleaner is great for taking crap back to clean grey ... not good for clear coat unless you dont want it and you enjoy a mess ...

The trick is to use a little flour, regular cooking flour after you have finished with the polishing action. Sprinkle a little on and it will help get that black film off.
