something wrong here!A 460 with a new pump rebuild ,"A" impeller should turn 4750-4800 RPM minimum, more with higher HP.The 750 carb is OK,but I would use the marine Holley 850 with the J tubes to be coastguard approved.88 size primary jets,94 secondaries and 6.5 powervalves.Barbron unrestricted flame arrestor for clean airflow.Timing can be set at 10 degree inital,36 degree total by 3000 RPM with the flyweights fully extended.A mild 460 produces 320 HP/500footpound torque on regular fuel.Upgraded 460's with better heads can easily turn over 5300RPM with an "A" imp.
