Read this off Av-web this morning the the de Vinci project plans on making it's first attempt at the x-prize the first of October. 3 days after Space Ship One plans their first attempt.

I watch this stuff also. MY brother inlaw is involved in that stuff,I don't remember which club he is in but they were trying to launch their own rocket soon also. He works for Boeing and NASA, and is on the boards of the national space society and the Mars society. He has spoken to Congress about the future of space travel and that is his life.
