I don't know where I fit in all of this, but my 77 Glastron has a 468 built motor by Chev. which replaced a good running 460 Ford,my 28 ft. Renker cruiser has a 350 Chev., my 76 Hondo drag boat has a built 460 Ford, my JBE Scorpion has Mercury Mariner 225 OB , I own 2 Ford F350 diesels and a GMC 1/2 ton 4x4, and a custom Chev Sub, I guess I am what you would call not partial to brands, but would rather use each for their intended purpose and the application they are best suited for, however my Canyon flat ProGasser had a 500 ci Ford all aluminum, which held it's own against some of the best Bowties, Pontiacs& Olds engines in the country, and yes they are more expensive to build and maintain because of the lack of available parts or the lack of competition in the parts industry, hell I even owned a Dodge at one time.
