San Diego boat races?

Looking for info on the races in San Diego this month 17th - 19th. Where's the best place to stay/watch?
I know some San Diego peeps can chime in.
I've never been and thinking about making a weekend out of it.

You can see pretty well from Crown point. They fence off the beaches and you need to pay to play. $25 for a wristband I think. There are plenty of areas to hang out for free it you so choose. You can take your boat and anchor out of bounds, but hope they boats don't end up on ya....

Thanks. I think its the IHBA drags at Mission Bay? I wanted to stay in a nice hotel within walking distance, maybe even watch from the room with food/drinks/bathroom.
