Thread: Bonneville.....Have you gone?

    Only thinking making the drive and going this weekend. :shift: Will make a decision in the next couple of days. :mix:
    From socal....what was the route you took to get there? Up the 93 Nevada or the 15 Utah? I'm expecting a 12+ hour drive.

    I went in August and it is a little boring. If it wasnt for the case of beer & my brother & I cruising around on two XR70's it would have sucked. It is cool to cruise the pits, but you are pretty far from the course to see much of what is going on. If you do go, bring a CB, because that is the way the announce the speeds.

    It's not a great spectator sport...in fact it sucks unless you're there with a racer, and have something to do. Wear good sun glasses...if it's sunny, you'll go snow blind. I'm not saying don't go, but just be prepared to stand around a lot, feeling like you're on another planet. It's pretty cool to see, and say you've been there.
