If you've had your Chevy/GM truck lifted, have you ever replaced the Pitman Arm or Idler Arms?
How often have you done it? How much did it cost (parts and labor)?
    Thanks

Not sure on the pitman or idlers, but the tie rods are a weak spot in the front. So Cal Super Trucks (http://www.socalsupertrucks.com/home.jsp) makes these trick replacements (http://www.socalsupertrucks.com/prod...2005&drive=2WD). Bulletproof stuff.

On my last truck I ran a 6" RCD lift with 35's , I added the Cognito Motorsports Pitman/idler arms support shortly after and never had a problem with them in 90k miles. On this truck I'm running the CST 6-8" kit. It's drop steering design greatly reduces the stress on the idle and pitman arms.
Search the Tow Rig section there was a great discussion about this a few months back. I have heard it's upward of $1500 to $2000 for the replacement parts and labor. I would definately talk with Jay Photoglou if I needed it done and then the next call would be to Justin at Cognito for their support brackets.
    Good luck,
