I'm getting ready to replace the floor and interior in my 1985 Eliminator. The Rot seems to be focus around the front drivers seat base, and engine compartment cover around hinges (probably due to 20 years of wet bodies being removed from the lake
The present interior is original. I want to get another 20+ years use out of my next interior, what should I do to ensure same or better quality?
I am pretty handy with powertools, saw, and a screw driver, but I don't think I am up to par with sewing the seven color vinyl.
Craig's in Phoenix wants to do the whole job, but they just do interiors, and will out source the floor. What to do? Are all vinyls equal?
Are there other materials to use other than plywood for the floors?
Should I check other structure under the floor? This Boat has a 50 gallon Stainless Steel fuel tank under the floor. Anyone have trouble with how there mounted/Cracks?
How much should I expect to pay?

This is very much the sort of thing we do durring the winter.
Strip the interior right down to the hull, and then do a full restoration in any manner that you choose.
