Its a berk right?
Get some pipe plugs for those holes, and fill the thing with motor oil. Done deal. Other bowls are grease bowls, that one isnt.
I am nearly ready to button up my new JE pump and am contemplating the right lubricant for the Bowl Bushings. I see that the replacement end caps for my pump at HT have a grease zerk. I also believe that I could pump grease in through the factory plugs. Any good reason to use oil rather than grease?

True, I use 85-140w gear oil.
A straight heavy wt. motor oil works fine....no gears in there

does this mean that some pictures are coming soon?
btw, I've just used 80-90w gear oil basically because that's what was in it and I didn't want to mix.

Yep, spent Saturday afternoon collecting stainless bolts and scraping silicone off the hull.
