I tow a 23' toybox with my 1/2 ton f-150 with a weight of about 7500lbs and it is a handful. Its not just 1 thing thats a factor its all ( suspension, brakes and motor). I need a diesel just like you do.

460 is better than that V10 of theirs. I pulled my trailer with a friends v-10 and my 454 out tows it. That duramax will beat the hell out of my truck.

..dude, a Z71 'burb has the capacity of at least 12k.
    uh, negative on that one
If anybody out there is inclined to tow 12k w/a 1/2 ton 'Burb, yes, it will move it in a forward direction, no it won't stop it, and yes it will smoke the trans. No worries, I have them in stock

You forgot to mention, make sure your health insurance is paid up. I wouldn't worry about your vehicle insurance, because, in the event you need it, they're going to look at your rig and the trailer you had behind it and deny your claim anyway.
