Are you looking for a budget deal, or how about a 496 short block, with all new forged crank, rods and pistons? I have a tall deck (4 bolt of course) pump gas short block for $3000.

I have a 468 2 bolt main long block 1978 block?? have to look again to be sure.
Forged pistons, arp bolts
Large oval port heads with manely rod guides
Brand new polished intake still in plastic
new chrome valve covers
heavy duty pushrods ect.......
I was going to put this motor in my jet boat but half way through the process I opted for a 540 dart motor instead.
The motor is all apart but I have a complete gasket set to go with it.
The motor had about 1-2 hours of run time before I took it apart :2purples:
$1200.00 plus shipping
Price negotionable if you do not want intake and valve covers ect.....
