Thread: What do jetovators do?

    Q-ball
What is the purpose of the jetovator? Is there a performance benefit, or is it mainly for looks? Just wondering before I spend the cash. Thanks.

The jetovator will give you control over the ride angle in your boat. I don't know anyone that has one that says it wasn't worth the money. And then of course there's always the rooster tail! You might want to check out Place diverters as well. It's the same principle, but its a little more trouble free as there are no little gears to stip out etc.
    Good luck,

    Short Answer: Trim the boat.
Longer Answer: Vector the thrust on a vertical plane, thereby airing out the hull or pushing it into the water.
On my 18' Hawaiian I have an hydrolic jet-o-vator and just by touching the switch in differing water conditions I can feel the change in ride. Smooth water, air it out a bit, rough water - bury the nose. Also if you have young or inexperienced skiers, you NEED to be able to trim the boat for slow speed towing. My opinions may not be as accurate for larger boats.

I was just thinking how much fun that must be to pull a skier with a place diverter.. You could have some serious fun with that.. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
Just outta curiosity, has anyone ever gone "under" the rooster tail?

My brother crossed underneath one on our old jetski and he said it was kinda like standing in the shower.. You just don't want to be at the very front of it, or at the very back of it.

My "friend" turned the diverter up on me once while i was skiing. When the stream hit me in the chest it blew me off of my feet & didn't feel too good either. If you go under the main stream its not too bad.

"needles and pins" if you have a short skirope ,it could knock you right off of your skis !
