But I dont think she ever said she didn't want to be part of the country. She said she said she didn't want to support the republicans by flying "their" flag. Clearly, she is crazy to believe the flag is supporting the republicans. And I agree whole heartedly that the flag stands for America as a whole; left, right, black, white, assult rifle carrying rednecks, socialist tree-huggers, everybody.
I think we can all agree that that is one of the things that makes this country great.

I think you're right about people not believing in what that quote stands for. However, I do think it is people on both extreme ends, left and right. On the one hand the far left get mad at something that shouldn't matter, like the pledge, and on the other, the people in the moral majority get upset when a breast get shown on cable tv. What about all of us in the middle. (And yes, I think I fall closer to the middle than you might think).

I am neither...moral or the majority but showing tit on network TV, [not cable] is over the top. I have seen my share of tits and have delighted in the sins of the flesh for many many years so the mere sight of a bare breast does not offend me at all. I just think flashing tit on one of the most watched programs [NFL Superbowl] of the year not only degrades the whole show but it shows no class at all. Do these people have no dignity? Do you think it was a "wardrobe malfunction" [yeah, right] or was it for the shock value? The FCC for several years has told the broadcasters in both radio and network TV to "police yourselves or we will do it for you, your choice". They chose not to and kept pushing the envelope and cried like little girls when the FCC came down hard on them by levying hefty fines for indecency.

I find it ironic that liberal minded people are so quick to insinuate, that patrotic Americans are in some way Nazi like.
When (IMO) most of the poeple who put thier lives at stake, to stop Nazi's, are patriotic.
