Didn't they just change the bottom on the 28'? Got a few more mph out of it?
Yes....The 28' does have a new bottom....
Not much more speed out of it, better ride though....

The person you want to ask is Shaken Not Stirred who is a great guy and knows a lot
Well......Thanks for the kind words......

Skygod.....here's some answers for you......
26' 4/496 MAG HO (B3) = 63-65 MPH
I'll be working the Advantage booth at the LA Show, so stop by and say HI....
Later,

Just curious....What changed between 1996 and 2004/5.......what pitch prop do ya have on that to get 63-65 MPH out of that....I'm pushing 600+ HP and the only way I or the engine builder can see my 26 going 60+ is with 30's on there (2.0's in the B III) and that would limit the life of the Bravo III...

I don't have a PartyCat...I have a 27' Victory.....
As far as I know, nothing has changed from 96' to now....
The numbers I gave are from the factory and are somewhat conservative...
Something must be wrong with your set-up, or your not making 600HP, or not enough torque......I was doing 75 MPH (GPS) with my 27' Victory V-Bottom with 600 HP, 63 MPH with my stock 496 MAG HO and 85 MPH now with my 850 HP motor.
Interesting.....

Interesting to say the least.....the set-up is the way that Advantage built the boat.....the only thing I changed is the motor.....Tom at Pro Marine in Havasu built it and His Dyno said 628 HP/652 Torque.....I'd say that if you're numbers are accurate...then Advantage learned how to set-up the boat alot better in the last 8 years.....

Amen brother... those numbers quoted for the Party Cats are phenomenal. Cuz my 500 with a BI would barely bust 60 mph. That x dimension technology over there has really made leaps and bounds.

Only 60 MPH with a 500.....in a 26' CAT ???
I ran 63 in my 27' "V" with a 496 MAG HO !!!!
C'mon.....something's wrong......
Let me do some research....
Later,
CJG
Thanks, I'll look for ya at the show!
OK....Spoke to a couple different people at the factory...........
Slightly modified numbers, but not by much.....
22' w/6.2 (B3) = 50-55 MPH
26' 4/496 MAG HO (B3-28P) = 60-63 MPH
28' w/496 MAG HO (B3-28P) = 63-65 MPH
28' w/525 (B1) = 65-70 MPH
Party Cat.....
Something is wrong with your set-up....
Where are you making peak torque ???
Hopefully around 4,200 RPM, not 5,500.
Do you have a dyno sheet.....
Later,
CJG
