i am currently working on an 83 model same hull third hin digit in an L not sure but i have heard this indicates a lite lay up any idea how much it weighs

What does the HIN # start with?Southwind quit making them in 80-81.
there were only a few that were light layups and they had no hin # just a coast guard tag.They were a race only hull.......Tim

first letter is s i could have sworn the date stamp at the end indicated 83 as the year i will need futher reveaw pos 81 is 83 even a posibility.i dont have the hull here with me yet but will soon the hull id is the only #on the boat no cf"s

You also could have a hull that was made when southwind was sold.I know of 3 so far that were bought in the last 4 years that were made by the new owner.it only took 6 months or so for the new owner to go under.I wish it never sold !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Then it would still be around and making some sick boats.pm me when you get the numbers.................Tim
