Every post by Ray seems to have a (.) as the only text left in his messages. Did I miss something? Ray always has pretty good insight on mechanical stuff.

I'll say! Every time someone posts a motor related problem, I look foward to his input.
I can understand some of the knuckleheads causing people to say screw the jet performance section (like Jet Hydro for example), but Racing Ray has even bowed out on the gearheads section. I didn't see any big showdown that caused him to leave, so I was just wondering what the hell is going on.????
