You might think about a different cam.

How does the boat feel at 96 mph? Is it doing anything weird or feel like its running out of water?
Have you played with the shoe depth at all?

yeah ive played with the shoe depth a little. added an 1/8th inch shim, brought the back of the boat out a little more. I also have another 1/16th shime that i might install. It doesnt seem to be running out of water. talked to dave at DNE and showed him the cam card. He said there is some horsepower to be gained with a cam swap. So over the offseason ill go ahead with that cam swap and see where im at.

I have a 19' Ultra Shadow (AKA Cheyenne) that is very heavily laid up. I have an 802hp NA engine in it with a B-impeller. This pushes me to just under 100mph. (Drives me insane that I can't reach the triple digit mark yet! )

I actually think runing just under 100mph is cool. Nothing better then having a honest high 90 mph boat (that is quick too) spanking all of the so called "100mph" boats left and right. I just loved it when someone would say there boat runs 100 but they can't get around me. Then the look on there face when you tell them your boat doesn't go 100 mph... haha!
I suggest before everyone trys to get to 100 and beyond, learn how your boat handles and reacts at the speed your running now and know it well.
