4th of July crowds suck!

We barely got on the beach! That's me down there. Just thought I would post pics. of our local Columbia river gorge yesterday. You can continue another thousand miles past that, same thing. Have to chuckle about all the problems some people have to face...No noise limits, no speed limits, BYOB and camp fire

Actually was packed about 35 miles West of here, that's where fireworks are tonight. Thing is, when the last one goes off, hundreds of boats leave at once, and the water is so rough it's dangerous as hell.

Had to climb the sand dune to take pictures, 'bout had a heart attack :shift:
Kids played on dune all day, they would climb up, and then jump way out and drop 20' or so and land in the soft sand.

Have done the party thing, with a boat every 20' since '88. Guess I'm getting older. No, I take that back, boat is too fast to drink and drive. 20 minutes down river to party area Fireworks are shot off over the river, just too rough for me!
