Lakes, those headers are bitchin, be worth the hassle pulling them to get the valve covers off!. Thanks, my feelings exactly. Even if they are literally just a fraction of an inch from the valve covers, I really don't think I'll mind having to pull an extra 8 bolts per side to get to my rockers.
I don't have any photos right now that show just how tightly they wrap around the valve covers, but for perspective, I'll use ssmike's headers (awesome in their own right) as an example. Compare and contrast with the unusual Sanderson Headers:
Bassett/Rewarder style:

And the Sanderson's:

(Granted, the v-drive motor is tilted of course, but you get the idea of the diferences...)

Sanderson, originally a boat header company, is now one of the largest hot rod and customs headers manufacturer's. They no longer make boat headers. Sanger Mike worked there as a teenager, and we speculate that these were an early design of theirs.
I acquired this pair and I wanted to try something different and stylish; it's just a lake boat afterall. I had the bluing and corrossion blasted off and then baked on the Hi-Temp satin black.
