They hit both Monique and I for our ID's for the booze we were buying, even though I had the $ in my hand. :crossx: :argue: The clerk said because Monique was with me they require everyone in the same party to show I.D. to purchase alcohol. :skull:
WTF, If I took my 9 year old daughter with me, would she have to wait in the car while I buy booze?
We were pissed, but understand the clerks are only doing what they are told to do. It's still Bull Sh*t! :yuk:

You should always leave the kids in the car so the cops can come arrest you for felony child endangerment......right ShockwaveBob?

The same thing happened to me when I went to a liquor store to buy more drinks and take them back to our friends house, thier 18yr old daughter came with me and walked in to buy some Skittles candy and was standing behind me to buy her candy, but because I was talking to her, the clerk asked us both for I.D. and I explained what I was buying and she explained what she was buying, but the clerk said no way and took the alcohol off the counter and put it behind the counter. She was pretty rude too.
I think it's just the way AZ handles it out here.

Damn!!! I didnt go to my local Frys, I guess I'll have to keep going there, because they never pulled any of that sh*t to me.
I can understand if we were at a ball game or bowling alley buying open conatiners, but from a fricken market?? What do they think we are going to have a parking lot party! :yuk:

Yes that really pisses me off.
We had that happen and we had a group of five kids, they would not let us purchase, also I tried to hand the money to hubby and they said I could not do that.

Colorado does the same. I had my brother with me once (he was 20 at the time), and I stopped in to pick up a 12'er. They gave me a bunch of heat for him not showing his ID while I bought the beer. Fine. We walked outside. I walked back inside, alone, walked back to the cooler, picked up the beer and walked up to the counter. The gal gave me even more grief, claimed I had a a fake ID, was going to confiscate it, call the cops, ect... but finally sold me the brew. It was actually kind of funny.
