After a 3 month search, weeks arranging for out of state shipping, settling on price, mailing a down payment I was expecting my new 2000 Laveycraft xtc ski to be delivered this Saturday.
Instead I get this e-mail from the seller a few days ago....
"I have some bad news. My family has decided not to sell the boat. I am very sorry for all of your time I have wasted. This is something I did not see coming and did not plan. I put your check in the mail (express) tonight. Again I'm very sorry."
Jeez, you think he would pick up the phone and have at least called...oh well back to the boat trader. :frown:

I'm actually kicking around selling it. I haven't had it out since last summer and am kind of hooked on the big boat thing now, although mine has been in the shop in Havasu for the last week and a half with no end in sight. I might be taking the Riv out here pretty soon to help calm some of the withdrawls I'm experiencing.

I wonder if he got another buyer with more money and that was his way to back out of your deal?

That was the first thing that crossed my mind as well.

    That certainly crossed my mind.
He took it to get the engine hours confirmed at a local dealer . I figure he and his wife rekindled their love affair with the boat after pulling out of the garage for the first time in 12 months or the dealer found him a local buyer.
Either way it's back shopping for me which is half the fun anyway. This would have been my 12th or 13th boat purchase.....maybe some bad juju with the number

Sounds like you are taking the right attitude. Good luck, there is always a boat to buy and at the end of the season you should be abe to find some killer deals out there.
