Crusader doesn't even get a response like that from me.....guess I see now why he's in this business. eek! Sweetheart: Before Hotcrusader76 joins you in bed tonight, slip an 850 double pumper under the pillow and pull it out at just the right moment; you'll thank me in the morning.

    rrrr
You know what happens next, dontcha??
Well my last time apparently, one of the CHEAP rubber gaskets for the tube between the primary and secondary bowls must not of seated properly....seemed to be in thier normal position. So I fired it up.
You guessed Correct. Fuel pissed out everywhere.. Fire . [/QB]Thanks for the heads up, rrrr. But look at the seal at the end of the "single feed jumper rail" (or whatever it's called):

No o-rings here, baby! Just a nice, shouldered phenolic spacer that can't slip cown the fuel rail when the float bowl is re-installed.
And for future reference, don't use a bucket to put out a fire, use a hose. I crack myself up...

(p.s. But seriously, water cannot put out a fuel fire....get a Halon f.e.)

Hmmm, wonder why there's a plate screw missing!.. Appreciate the eye, GFR. Not to worry though, all metering plate screws are there and accounted for; just a funky angle on the far screw in the original photo.

And finally...the complete motor rebuild is just about done! All I have to do is bolt on the bad-ass carbs and run some fuel line from my regulator:

So I take it you and the carbs are going to whisper sweet nothings to each other before bedding them away on the intake.
So I can sleep better....please put the carburetors back together, bolt them on the intake, charge the hose.....check for leaks....then fire'm up. Quit fondling them and just put them back in the garage...

Indeed, the carbs are already properly and fully assembled (and even re-bagged) and will be installed this weekend.
The electric fuel pump will provide the requisite pressure test prior to firing the motor.
And alas, I must once-and-for-all release my beautiful carbs to their true love: my 466 jet boat motor, where they like being on top.

Hey lakes?? you going to feed both those carbs wif one holley reg?? I would consider a bypass system as that holley reg has a very small hole to get fuel thru and I know them fords like to run a little fat like me.
    take a look.
