Ever heard of a Diamond hull? Guy says that the builder got the molds from CA back in the day and then built the boats in Omaha NE. Sorta looks like a Schiada 22' without the notch/stepdown in the back. The boat is under Diamond in the boat trader. Just curious.
p.s it's got a motorized wormgear driven cavitation plate. Is there any disadvantage of this setup versus a manual cav plate? Doesn't seem like you could adjust attitude as quickly with the wormgear setup.
    thanks

That looks like a Spectra to me. Check with Spectrabrent, he will know.

    ditto
And that style of cav plate setup will be just fine in that boat.
You are right it won't be as quick but they are not to bad.

That is a Diamond hull daycruiser, My cousin just picked one up a couple months back. They were built in Carter Lake IA. Right by the airport in Omaha.
The builder was Fred Ray, My uncle tells me, Fred built his own molds, impling that they were splashed, for the Skiflat, draghull, and cruiser. My cousin is a Diamond Hull nut, he may chime in here. Nice looking boat.

Definitely a Spectra/Howard knockoff. Cool lookin cruiser. Looks like you just need to loose the astroturf and you have a pretty nice ride.

I'm a little late on this thread.. Fred is my grandfather...yes, that is a Diamond Daycruiser...he only made maybe 6 or 7 of the cruisers. I think some guy in Missouri has the molds now (I think they are rotting in a field). My mom sold hers recently, I have a 18' Diamond ski hull that I'm re-flaking...some farmer had it in his barn for the last 10 or 15 years...
