yes you can run it only in unblown fuel. if i run it there i have to run unblown fuel jet. against jerry hicks and mike sampica both very, very fast boats jerry runs like 7.40's and mike runs close to that the best i can run is 8.60's. not worth running for me.

that's exactly why i don't bring my boat there and race anymore brian. you just made my point. i can't tune two tenths into my boat.and can't run n20 to get it in the bracket. can't slow down to 9.5 so there you have it!
So let me get this straight Brad ... you can't get 2 tenths faster to become competitive in you bracket ( I'm guessing you're running a 9.20) to run competitively in the 9.0 second class ... yet you can't take .3 away to win in the 9.50 class?
    I'm confused???
But at the same time ... I know you don't have to worry about it because you're running a Yellow and Blue BGJ ... that you're a hired gun in right?
So you're getting twice the racing (IHBA & NJBA) for half the price (you're only payin' once I'm guessing to IHBA).
Now, if I could figure out who I could drive for ... I would be a happier man.

KInda strange can you run it in Pgj, or unblowen fuel? If so how do they justify that?
Well ... Like Brad said ... old school guys figure it's voodoo like stuff ...
If the sandbaggin' is allowed ... I'm figurin' nitrous will be introduced into brackets.
The idea is that a guy could hit the nitrous right before the lights if he were "fender racing" and win ... like that's consistant :hammer2:
As I said ... no sandbaggin' rule (or allowing sandbaggin' to happen for a better use of words) would allow the use of nitrous.
But ... this all has to be voted on ... remember to vote! Or this is all wasted conversation.

If sandbagging is allowed anything should be legal, 598 cu in in the 11.00 second bracket, nos in the 10.00 second bracket sandbagging is sandbagging run what you want or got, if it is allowed than everyone is legal, you take off all limits and restrictions, isn't that the why you want to get rid of no sand bagging, if you take off rules you can't ad more rules to make your kind of set up work, it's all or nothing, Jim

Jim ... we (you, me ... everyone else there last Tuesday night) have already beat this horse ... lets send it out to them members and let them vote.
I don't like the rule ... you do. That's what is great about our country, we have the right to different opinions. But the majority rules are what we go by.
So, we can't get pissed if 65 members vote to keep it and 55 vote to get rid of it ... and vise versa ... if it's voted out, so be it.
I'll live with it either way.
Now, in response to your idea that nitrous will be used in 10 sec. brackets or 598" motors in the 11's ... why would someone do that in our org? It makes no sence. We don't have a better bracket payout to play like that. Why would I take my boat and try to run in the 9 second bracket? That would be stupid. It's not like I'm going to make more money or get better awards or recognition for that matter.
I don't think that it will make any difference at all to NJBA BECAUSE we do not have purses and/or whole second brackets.
    My .02 in response.

yes brian i could set it up to slow it down, but i would rather be able to go faster than slower. just me i guess. all said and done my boat is just goin to the river. race ed's boat and just have fun. but i do think you should be able to run whatever you need to run the class you want to. perfect example breaking out in qualifing ??? you are the slow boat in your class not forced up to a class you can't compete in. just my opinion. cost me a championship two years ago. went .130 too quick in qualifiing??? brad

Yeah ... anything under .10 and you cannot declare back ... maybe it should be .15?
Good suggestion for the rules meeting ... oh, sorry, too late
You've got it made now though Hired Gun!
