Stem Powr gear ratios I believe are 1.6 or 2.0. You should have the 1.6.

From the serial numbers it should be a 1.3 Then again it also says it should be a LH rotation but it is a right.

Dave, the propshaft is the same as a small short shaft speedmaster (2, some 3's and early Arneson). The 19 spline is the same as the XR so you can bore one of the stainless torqueflo hubs and put the 15 degree taper on the back. That will let you use OB props like the one you have with the custom hub. The small diameter is your current slip problem. You should look for older SSM/Arneson props in the 15-16" diameter range. I have a short shaft 16 x 29 3 blade cleaver but I know it will be too much pitch.

If you put 11 % slip ,it will compute . How much power do you have ?

    With 13% slip , it calculates 110 mph as you've posted . 127 theoretical speed .What engine do you have ? 1000hp and 6K rpm , with a 28 P , cool.

I have a 588 ci thats dynoed at 996 hp @ 6000 rpm 970 ft lbs torque@4300rpm on pump gas. its a new motor and im playing with props . also have 1.25 gears so they are a little tall. the 28 prop hit the rev limiter(6000) at 110mph so i tried a 30 and got 106 at 5200 rpms. there might have been a little more in it but wasnt great conditions to keep it wot. a friend is giving me a labbed 30 so hopefully i will get more rpms from it and higher top end. im running 7 lbs boost, havent tried race gas and smaller pulley yet. Im hoping with the right prop I can get 113/115 with pump gas and good water.

I don't want to hijack my own thread but DAMN. 996hp. Sounds like a killer ride.
You ever make it up to Orroville or Shasta?
