    Hi all,
    I have a 19ft6 Hallett bubbledeck v bottom , it has a 600hp 378 Cleveland stroker in it.
I am currently running an Argo 19.5% step up v-drive. Is this alright, what gears would be better, the boat is a five seater and then motor is set about 16 inches from the transom. It also doesnt get out of the water as much as I would like. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We ski race with this boat and the 2 young kids keep waving me up but there is no more !!!!
    Cheers
    Dale

What kind of rpm do you turn with that gear, and have you had the boat on GPS? Do you know Jason and Noel Cartledge? Email me direct at obnoxious001@yahoo.com and we can swap some stories. Darn kids won't be afraid of speed yet. I had a ride in one of the Aussie boats with a 550 HP 351 "stock" engine that suprised me while I was up at Echuca.
