We run royal purple 5w30 in our super stocker
race motor. 8500 rpm 578 HP with a 600 cfm carb
100 runs plus some dyno time on each motor with
no brg failure. I was a thick oil fan for a long time but seeing is believing.

We run Royal Purupl o weight in our race motor. 1200 HP. It makes about 20 more hp with the Royal Purple then 10w30 Valoline. Just have to change it more often. Pulled motor apart bearings look new and checked the rods and put it back togeather.

Blown 472, Check out www.bobistheoilguy.com.I am unsure about what oil viscosity is best and will go with what my engine builder suggests,20w50.There is a whole lot of information on that website.I plan on trying the shaeffers oil(dino grade) and then have it analyzed.Mercury marine oil is a 25w40.
