The coverage of Bush's response by the media shows just how much of an uphill battle he has on this issue. He has been blamed for "attacking" Democrats, and here they said he was "escalating the bitter debate over Iraq". What? How did he escalate anything by trying to set the record straight. It's amazing how when Bush says something that he may have disagreed with as a 20 year old, the mainstream media will spare no effort trying to point it out. But even I was able to find people like Kennedy, Reid and Kerry stating that we needed to get rid of Saddam before he fully developed his WMD program. They said these things as recently as 2 years ago. Somehow, the news people haven't been able to find them...
