Thread: deckers with twin wackers?

    why are we not seeing this more often? It obviously works very well on the 24-27' pure cats........so why not the Conquest, Magic, Howard, etc... decks in a similar size range?
    Can someone knowledgeable on this topic please explain?
    Seems to me that it would be bad-ass.

    I would say lack of knowledge. Most of the west coast builders except for DCB and Eliminator haven't really messed around in outboards so some of it's fear and a lot of it's setup. The other thing and more than likely the customer. Aftershock built a 24' deck boat with a 300x on it and it ran really good.

    The problem is that most deckboats have built-in swim steps. The outboards will not work when strapped on the swim step...they need a flat transom.
    This is the same reason you don't see the Lavey Sabre without outboards, etc.

    ah ha the swim step...
    look for outboards as a possible option on the new Ultra Shadow deck boat.
