Jet Boat Noob

I just bought my first jet boat and can't wait to get to the river. I grew up with my Dad's SK-class v-drives and pretty much everything from Nautiques to sportfishing rigs. I have already learned a lot from the forums and look forward to even more.

Here are a few pics of the new baby. It's a 79 Hallett with a tall deck 454 crate motor.

Welcome to the forums! Nice looking boat!. What are your plans for it?

Thanks, I am really happy with it. After 30 years of v-drives, inboards and I/O's, it took me a while to get used to the handling. I want to use it a good bit and then slowly try to up the performance. It tops out at about 60 MPH and 4800 RPM. Looks like I need to learn a lot about pump setup. :-)
